Hey all, Kate here!
I’m the owner of Wicked Sweets by Kate, what started as a home-based cake business in Machesney Park, IL is now a full fledged bakery business currently located in Rockton, IL. I’ve been officially in business since February 2022.
I’ve been baking and decorating cakes/cupcakes for over 10 years! What started as a “happy hobby” has turned into my full time gig, and I’m super grateful to be here!
Some fun facts about me:
My favorite color is purple
I love coffee (and wine)
My logo is a tattoo I got about 7 years ago because I just loved baking as a hobby (the universe works in mysterious ways doesn’t it?)
My career before starting my business was dispatching for almost 8 years (I actually still am a dispatcher superrr part time)
My knowledge of baking comes from lots of practice and trial/error- I learned decorating at my first job at a Baskin Robbins.
I have the most amazing supportive husband, parents, and friends who encourage me every day, and I’m so so happy they’re all here on this crazy ride with me!
