Delicious Farm-to-Table Italian fare. Nothing came to our table (party of 5) that wasn’t fabulous and unique. The eggplant fries (yes, that’s correct) were the most uniquely shaped and delicious fries I’ve ever tasted. Beautifully presented as well. The Talgliatelle alla Checca was a warm pasta and sauce, but the fresh elements added a wonderful brightness to the dish. The chef even painstakingly peels the fresh tomatoes! This brought a wonderful texture to the palate. Winner overall was the Veal alla alto Adige. It was so delicious that I quite forgave my baby-cow-eating qualms. I would get that next time. Drinks were very inventive as well. The ‘Once upon a Lime’ was their only Tequila offering and sounded good, but the lime tasted bottled. So I switched to the 815, a Rye concoction. That was superb. Service was excellent and attentive. This truly is a five-star experience in Rockford.
