About Sugar Britches Welcome to Sugar Britches, an old-fashioned candy store nestled in historic downtown Rockton, IL. I built this little store for my favorite little town. I wanted to create a destination for families, couples, teenagers, foodies, both local and visitors alike. This year he decided to turn his focus to the type of cars that fit in the palm of your hand. “I went from selling big cars to small cars,” said Smith, the owner of Phoenix Diecast, a new businesses centered on diecast cars such as Hot Wheels and Matchbox, as well as other collectibles and toys. Phoenix Diecast opened last month at 6125 N. Second St., taking over the former LADIWORKZ business incubator space. The company will hold its first toy show bringing together various toy and collectibles vendors from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The shows will happen the last Sunday of every month. Keebler Kitchen is a new restaurant located on Forest Hills Rd. near Pepper Rd. in Rockford. We serve the best in Soul food and comfort food. Brothers Ruben Randle and Jesse Stapleton opened Keebler Kitchen, 5811 Forest Hills Road, on Monday. Their restaurant occupies the space that was previously Taqueria Azteca Express. It has dine-in, carryout and drive-thru options. “We want to start getting to know every last one of our customers by name, so that we always have that relationship with them,” said Stapleton, whose childhood nickname is now the restaurant’s name. They hope customers will come to know them for their Sunday specials, a mix-and-match deal that comes with your choice of various meats and sides. You can get barbecue rib tips, barbecue or jerk chicken, pot roast or turkey legs with sides that include collard greens, cabbage, yams, dressing, cheesy potatoes, macaroni and cheese and spaghetti. They also plan to mix in oxtails and lamb chops on occasion. “We want our Sundays to be our busiest day of the week,” Randle said.
